"It's a Temple"

So this is technically a story for Kim's blog but it's so hilarious I HAVE to post it! While Kim took Cole to a doctor's appointment this morning, Rian played with Nana and myself (until I left for school.) I come upstairs with Brooks and she does her usual "Hi Katie!" and I say good morning. She then proceeds to give Brooks a hug and kiss and continues on with her movie. Long story short.... movie ends and she wants to watch "Dinosaur" so we assume she means Toy Story... proceed to put Toy Story in. As most of you probably know, Toy Story is a PIxar film, so at the beginning it shows the Cinderella Castle (animated of course). I'm in my own world playing with Brooks and I hear "It's a Temple!" I look and she is talking about the Cinderella castle!!! How flippin' cute is that!!! It killed me, I was like "Mom Mom, you'll never guess what she just said"... TOTALLY made my day, what a reverent little girl. I love my niece :) she ROCKS!!!

Family Pictures!

They've arrived!!! We have been anxiously awaiting these, and they turned out pretty well. Some of the ones with the kids are a little rough, but granted the little ones were done after a couple hours. Unfortunately, the whole reason why we had family pictures taken was because my grandparents were out visiting... well, we didn't get any pictures of all of us as a family. Hopefully they didn't delete them and it was just a misunderstanding and they forgot to put them on the disks. Motherhood looks pretty good on me, huh?! Bask in these beautiful children :)

UPDATE: We finally received the entire group picture and it turned out very nice! I've tried to post pictures about a thousand times but blogger has been pretty stupid and hasn't been working. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have. Oh, I HAD to post the last picture at the bottom just because of how funny it is. Brooks and Cole were done for and Rian wanted her ice cream I promised her about an hour or two before and right after he shot this picture she got up and stormed of pretty much... leaving the little ones there on the floor.

3 1/2 Months YOUNG

It pains me to say that Brooks is 3 1/2 months. I don't want him to grow up, but at the same time it's so amazing to have him giggle and smile and actually respond. It's kind of like he is validating all of my worries, if he is smiling and happy I must be doing something right! Right? Haha. I just wanted to post a couple pictures, the comb over picture is just for you Grammi and Grandpap. Excuse this "naughty" comment but it is SO funny, Rian LOVES Brooks' mohawk... she says, "Brooks has mocock!" The one day that he had a comb over she came up to him and tried to spike up his hair and said, "Brooks' mocock?" Asking oh so cutely where it was. I have been waiting for his eyes to change but I believe they already have, they are hazel and change day to day. Some days they are kind of green, but most days they are the most beautiful intriguing steel blue that just entraps you and melts your heart ever so slowly. He is sleeping so well and taking three naps each day. Two are one hour and one that averages two to three hours. He slept 11 hours last night!!! WOW... I suppose with a baby it's not every single night that is GREAT... but for the most part he is sleeping through the night. I still hear every little peep, but that's what happens when your son is a few feet from you. I daydream about being able to give him his own nursery or room someday. I have a running list of things him and I can do together and traditions that will be started for us. If anyone has suggestions for traditions or activities that are "must-do's" PLEASE let me know. I would love to hear any and all of them. I hope you enjoy these ADORABLE pictures, I LOVE them!!!

UPDATE: Obviously these posts haven't been on here until now, they were sitting in my "saved" file because I wasn't able to post pictures with them. Now that I have it somewhat working, it's kind of old news. The last picture is for you Grammi and Grandpap... a combover!

I spoke too soon

What a bummer, Brooks didn't sleep through the night last night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tonight though, maybe there is a trick I need to learn ;) Haha, I WISH it was that easy. We're still anxiously awaiting the family pictures we had done THREE WEEKS AGO... we're dying to see how they turned out and of course pictures of all the rugrats.? I think that's how rugrat is spelled, hmmm. Well, anyways I just wanted to post a quick update for those of you who check my and Brooks' blog. Hopefully there will be pictures to post and share SOON!!!

Sweeet Sleeep... Ahhh!

I'm unofficially announcing that Brooks is sleeping through the night! (Knock on wood) The past week he has slept from 11:30 or so until 6 or 6:30 AM. Thursday night he slept form 12:30 until 8 AM and last night from 11:30 until 9:30 AM!!! WOW WOW WOW. He has been napping so well and has also been extremely giggly and smiling a lot. I will "officially" say that he is sleeping through the night if it lasts another week. I'm still exhausted, I suppose two nights of good sleep doesn't make up for 3 1/2 months of none! He is so sweet :) He makes me smile and laugh every day. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of family pictures, as soon as I get a few I will post them.

New Blog For A New Beginning!

Brooks and I have a new addiction, LOST! Well obviously it's MY addiction but Brooks plays and giggles with me as I watch. (No worries, he isn't being neglected) Here is some math for you: 1 hour per episode, 4 episodes per disk, 6 disks per season... WAY too much time in the past 3 days watching season one. I can't believe that I was completely intrigued after the FIRST episode. The weirdest part is, this show completely creeps me out. I go to bed HOPING that I don't have nightmares, it's scary!

Right now is a good example of how deeply this show has begun to eat me alive. It's 12:20 AM, Brooks just went to bed and as should I but NO I am up watching JUST ONE MORE episode of Lost. That's ridiculous, what am I thinking?! Tomorrow is going to be a one-eye-open, cat-nap any chance I get day!
